In my earlier post I was requesting you readers to guide me if I have to buy the amazing iPhone. Today after hearing the press release of Vodafone to release iPhone in India for 31K to 36K, Am pretty sure that most Indians would not love the phone any more. We were expecting the phone for less than 15K from the rumors spread. And another surprise would be Airtel might definitely give it for higher prices as usual as their strategy.

i wonder ..what has made airtel do that … seriously cant understand .. is it inflation or the app airtel claims, that would not allow anyone to hack iphone … or something else… I think airtel would have made enormous profit if they had sold iphone cheap…

ah, no Kanak it doesn’t work that way.
Apple actually say $199 for the phone and the is a big * behind for exclusive rights to sell iphone. When it comes to AT&T iphone was sold cheap but they release new plan for iphone from which the money from the income is shared with Apple and AT&T for the contract. So Apple doesn’t actually sell the phone for $199, they want to make it cheap and but earn more. Airtel and Vodafone didn’t agree for such price and they didn’t want to make a high charged data plan and paid them on a sale based revenue sharing model. And thats why we have this cost.
ok .. even though this stuff is outside my understanding … but i would have preferred if Airtel would have actually given flexible options, like released iphone cheap with data package and the normal one like they have released now .. It would have given customers better options …
