Researchers from Research and Markets, have predicted that in the year 2008, total number of sms messages sent worlwide will grow about 2 each per day on an average among 3 Billion subscribers making it a total of over two trillion.
Even today, after having good improvements in mobile technologies, we still have the text sms as basic media of communication among the young crowd. Most youngsters in India only use sms to communicate with their friends, and this has become most easiest way of communication for everyone. Recently marketing companies have started advertising many products through sms marketing and sms would be the best option to reach and get everyone’s attention.

With huge numbers coming into play , India and china will be on top. Sms is still the easiest way to communicate unless some service providers like bsnl deliver it after 24 hours

Personal experience. If you ask them they all say they are planning to bring 3G first time in India.
yes, Kanak, India and China will be on top no doubt. And this BSNL is still thinking they are in 1990s. They deliver sms after 24 hrs sometimes, GPRS with .0x kbps, customer care executive who doesn’t even know how to disable vibration during a phone call and lot more. I dont want to speak everything here
So true. Just because of their cheaper call rates they are on top.
Yes, their only power is lower call rates…
