Blind Peoples can soon use Mobile Phone not only for Communicating but also forfinding the way.Sweden Based Mobile Application Company,Mobile Sorcery AB is developing this Software,which will guide sight Impaired and Blind People with Voice advisories from their Mobile Phone.
This is the First of the type of such High-Tech Software ,which is a part of Stockholm’s
Project of Easy access for the Visually impaired Program.This Software runs in a Prototype which uses a Nokia 6300 Symbian Phone with earphones and a separate GPS unit Linked to the Mobile using Bluetooth SIG technology.Geographic INformation System(GIS) will be provided by another company from Sweden ,Astendo AB.This Navigation Softeware Locates Peoples and Plots Places to the destination using a highly detailed GIS created and Maintained by the city for Street
maintenance and Traffic management Purpose.The Voice enables guide alerts the users whena ny Obstacles and turns comes forward.UIsers has the Facility to enter their Own data,like the Parked Places of the vehicle and other Freind whois using the system could be informed using GIS database in the Application.
