A mobile phone designer has come up with a new concept phone bringing in a digital camera type flexibility for the user to use the phone as a digital camera. But it is still unclear for me why the name comes with BMW. The concept phone might attract manufacturers who are interested to make phones easy for video capturing. Sony Ericsson or Nokia itself might buy this concept from the designer soon. Please don’t expect this phone to be in the shops soon.

Nokia announced the release of its new firmware update for the N95 phones. The update seems to be a major upgrade to the operating system as the version jumps from 21.0.016 to 30.0.015. This update has more than just Bug fixes and optimizations. Many built-in software are updated. Seems like the boot time has be reduced considerably from the user experience feedbacks from various blogs. One amazing feature I can see it the automatic screen rotate feature. The phone is a rival to Samsung’s i8510 which was released last week and Sony Ericsson’s C905 which has 8.1 megapixel camera. However the phone is claimed to be a rival for iPhone with its 240×400 pixel resolution screen with touch screen. The phone is said to be released in October this year.

Samsung announces the launch of their new Digital camera killer phone with 8 megapixel camera. The phone is said to reduce the gap between the digital cameras and mobile phones. The phone has a flash and can detect people  in the picture are smiling.

Japan moving much faster than the rest of the world in mobile technology, is now planning to introduce “Wallet phones”. We already know Japanese are no more using their mobile phones are just phone, but they have integrated their Television and Internet devices and much more into their phones. Now that they are planning to stop using wallets.
